1942/1943....35mm color film. Scanned with Nikon 35mm scanner, processed with PaintShop Pro 7 computer program, transferred to CD ROM for preservation and general family distribution. Part of a project involving over 3,000 films gathered during my tours with the Foreign Service in Europe and Africa.
1. VP93 Radio gang atop the mountain overlooking the Bluie West One seaplane base in southern Greenland. I'm the one with the blue hat. Name of the companion long since forgotten.
2. Near Bluie East One, Greenland. A family homestead. The father earned his living fishing using a home-built kayak.
3. A few free moments atop the mountain overlooking Bluie West One seaplane base, contemplating the last flight and wondering what's next.
