VP93 was renamed VB126 when the PBYs were replaced with PV-1 Venturas. They were much faster, but a lot harder to fly. The PBY, which I referred to as "a barn door", was really that, it virtually flew itself, but the PVs had to be cajoled and coaxed to fly right, the pilots had a job keeping it on the "straight and narrow"
