I left the squadron in 1944 and got transferred to the Armament Test stationed at Pax.River,MD.There I was designated an EDO and assigned to go to Germany to work with the Europe Technical Services. After the war in Europe I was assigned to Naval Development Station,PA where I was the commanding officer of the Aero Instrument Laboratory. Here I had an opportunity to work with the first astronauts,John Glenn,Carpenter and the rest of the crew. I'm not gong to write the whole story of my service.I retired in April 1965 and went to work for Sikorsky. After Sikorsky I retired the second time and did voluntary service with the AARP.---In 1995 I had a stroke.I recovered and I'm partially handicapped. Yes I knew Paranuk. We were flying the PBY's in Greenland together.
